Primark will invest €80 million in opening at least eight new stores and one store extension over the next two years
The new store openings and extension will create at least 1,000 new jobs boosting the Spanish economy
Upgrades and refurbishments planned for stores totalling €20 million in two years
Primark, the international fashion retailer, has today bolstered its commitment to Spain by announcing a capital investment of €100 million in its Spanish business. The investment includes €80 million in eight new stores and one store extension and €20 million investment in upgrades and refurbishments in stores. Over 1,000 jobs will be created over the next two years as part of the company’s ambitious growth plans in the market.
Primark opened its first store in Spain 16 years ago in May 2006, in Plenilunio, Madrid and today has 56 stores across the country. As part of its commitment to invest in its store portfolio, Primark will bring its quality fashion and essentials at the best value prices to three brand-new locations in the next 12 months, including its first store in Lanzarote, its first store in Melilla and its first store in Toledo.
